TIME LINE

1918              Nelson Mandela was born in Transkei South africa.
1942              Nelson Mandela was educated law in the University College of Fort Hare.
1944              Mandela joined to the African National Congress
1948              Mandela was engaged to the resistance against the ruling National Party's apartheid policies.
1958 - 1961   Mandela went on trial for treason
1961              Mandela was acquitted.
1961              The ANC executive considered his proposal on the use of violent tactics .
1963              Mandela was brought to stand trial with them for plotting to overthrow the government by violence.
1964              Mandela, was sentenced to life imprisonment.

1064-1982     Mandela was incarcerated at Robben Island.
1990              Mandela was released
1991              Mandela won the elections and became President of the ANC
